How to Connect Apple CarPlay or Android Auto in Your Mazda
If you drive a Mazda and want to connect your phone to use navigation, music, and calls safely while driving, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are your go-to tools. Most newer Mazda’s make it super simple to connect either with a cable or wirelessly.
Here’s how to do both.
Apple CarPlay
Wired Connection (Most Common):

Plug your iPhone into the USB port.

Unlock your phone if needed.

Tap “Allow” when your phone asks about Apple CarPlay.

CarPlay will load up automatically on the Mazda screen.

Use the touchscreen, HDMI Commander , or Siri via the steering wheel voice button.
Wireless Connection:
Some newer Mazda models support wireless Apple CarPlay (CX-90, CX-50, CX-30, Mazda3 and others with updated infotainment).

Make sure Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are turned on on your iPhone.

On the Mazda screen, go to Settings > Connectivity > Apple CarPlay.

Follow the on-screen instructions to pair your phone.

Once connected, Apple CarPlay will launch wirelessly.

It will auto-connect every time after that.
Android Auto
Wired Connection:

Plug your Android phone into the USB port.

If it’s your first time, you may be prompted to download or update Android Auto.

Grant the permissions when asked.

Android Auto will launch automatically.
-
Control it via the screen, rotary dial, or by pressing the steering wheel voice button for Google Assistant.
Wireless Connection:
Wireless Android Auto is available on select 2022+ Mazda models and may require the latest software.

Turn on Bluetooth and Wi-Fi on your phone.

Put your Mazda in Park, and go to the Android Auto setup under Settings > Connectivity.

Pair your phone via Bluetooth and follow the prompts on both screens.

Once paired, Android Auto will launch wirelessly and auto-connect in future drives.
