2020 Mazda CX-9 Updates and Changes

January 15th, 2020 by

The 2020 Mazda CX-9 is here, and there are a ton of updates across the entire lineup of trims

Here are the key changes and updates to the 2020 CX-9:

One of the biggest changes includes a Captain’s Chair option for the GS-L and GT trims.  This deletes one of the seats, but leaves space in between the two second row seats for easy access to the 3rd row, or allows extra room for storage and space.  The Signature trim comes standard with the Captain’s Chairs, but also includes a beautiful centre console, complete with heated seat functions, USB ports for charging, and a large storage compartment.  It is basically the same centre console the driver and front passenger have at their disposal.

There are also interior color updates to the CX-9 Signature.  The Chroma Brown Nappa leather has been replaced with a new Deep Chestnut Nappa leather.  You can also get a Pure White Nappa leather option with select exterior colors.

The GS trim is now equipped with G-Vectoring Control Plus.  For more info on what exactly that does, you can check out this video right here.

The GS trim is also now equipped with the Auto Hold function.  Feel free to release the brake pedal at long traffic lights or if you are at a stand still for extended periods of time, and the Auto Hold function will keep your CX-9 in place.

Off-road Traction Assist is now available starting at the GS trim.

The GS-L trim is now equipped with a 9″ color touchscreen display with Mazda Connect.

The GT trim’s power rear liftgate is now equipped with hands free access.  Just sweep your feet under the rear bumper, and presto. Open sesame.
